What is PriEco?

PriEco is a general purpose web search engine. Its values are

Privacy: It's designed to protect user privacy by not collecting any information about its users. There are exceptions that were beforehand discussed with PriEco community. Please refer to Privacy Policy.

Ecology: PriEco runs on renewable energy, currently solar. Also, on a refurbished hardware. There are plans to donate part of its profit to charity/ies. That's for later when PriEco will be profitable.

Transparency: Mercy to whoever made my mind 4 years ago to open source PriEco under AGPL v3 license.

Independence: This one as the transparency isn't a primary value, but PriEco grew into it. PriEco is now fully independent from third-party result providers (Google, Bing, etc.) and manages index of 100s of millions of web pages.

Who is PriEco for?

Anyone!

PriEco is a general purpose web search engine, this means that we index all of the websites we can get our hands on, in any language. Use it just like you use Google.

Please keep in mind that index size is dramatically smaller compared to Google, it might not have what you're searching for. But! I'm not giving up and increasing index size as quickly as possible. You can help by installing Chrome or Firefox extension?
